Employee Testimonials
“In my role, I see the administrator as a vital bridge, someone who can absorb and deflect emotional tensions that may not directly relate to care, while also supporting staff who are deeply affected by the human condition they encounter daily.
Leadership, to me, is not just about managing metrics or ensuring compliance; it’s about choosing how we show up for others.
I strive to lead as a servant—ensuring every team member feels valued, supported, and empowered to fulfill their calling. That means being honest about my strengths and limitations and showing up with authenticity—whether that’s through laughter, tears, hard work, or fair and firm decision-making.
At the end of the day, when 5:00 pm rolls around, I want our team to feel the impact of our shared efforts. That’s what a good day looks like for a leader.”
Dawn F.,
Administrator, RN
“Every day I walk into work knowing I’m helping build a team that brings comfort and dignity to people in their final chapter of life. That’s not just recruiting—it’s a calling.”
As a Talent Advisor, my day starts with intention. I check in on open roles, review applications, and prioritize outreach to candidates who align not just with the skills we need, but with the heart of our mission. I spend time connecting with hiring managers to understand their team dynamics and what kind of person would thrive in their care setting—whether it’s a nurse with deep empathy or a social worker who brings calm during uncertain times.
Midday, I might be conducting interviews, coaching candidates through the process, or refining job postings to better reflect the soul of our organization. I also work closely with HR and leadership to ensure our hiring practices are inclusive, compassionate, and aligned with our values.
What makes this role special is that I’m not just filling positions—I’m helping people find purpose. I’ve watched CNAs become nurse leaders, chaplains find their voice, and caregivers discover their calling. Being part of that journey is incredibly rewarding.
By the end of the day, I’ve touched lives I may never meet directly—but I know the people I help bring in will make someone’s final days more peaceful. That’s the kind of impact that stays with you.”
Alicia M.,
Talent Advisor
“Before I even step into the office, my thoughts are already with our patients, their families, and our team. Each day begins with a morning huddle—an essential moment where we align on urgent needs, new admissions, and any emotional or clinical challenges from the day before. From there, I check in with our nurses, social workers, and CNAs to ensure they feel supported, heard, and empowered.
My day is a blend of meetings and meaningful moments. I might be on a call with a family member navigating difficult decisions, or working with our clinical manager to ensure coverage for a nurse who needs time off. I also collaborate closely with our outreach and education teams—whether it’s planning a health fair, reviewing materials, or brainstorming ways to better serve underserved communities.
Hospice isn’t just a job—it’s a calling. It demands presence, resilience, and heart. Some days are heavy, some are beautiful, and most are both. But every day, I’m reminded why we do this work: to bring comfort, dignity, and peace to those who need it most.”
Sandra B.,
Administrator, RN
